Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a term usually used in conjunction with ERP software or an ERP system which is intended to manage all the information and functions of a business or company from shared data stores.

Here I’m listing few open source ERP softwares.

1. Openbravo ERP

Openbravo ERP is a Web based ERP for SME, built on using open standards, around a unique combination of well-proven MVC and MDD development frameworks, executed by Openbravo’s WAD engine.

Openbravo ERP’s comprehensive business functionality is implemented on top of the robust Openbravo ERP Platform, which provides an equally strong set of cross-application functionality.

2. Open ERP

Open ERP (formerly named Tiny ERP) is a complete ERP and CRM system. It has separate client and server components.

Open ERP is a complete and extremely modular, with 350 available modules. It is based on a strong MVC architecture, with a distributed server, flexible workflows, an object database, a dynamic GUI, an XML-RPC interface, and customizable reports.

The features are management accounting, financial accounting, inventory management, sales and purchase management, tasks automation, Human Resource Management, marketing campaigns, help desk, and point of sale.

The Linux user interface is GTK+ based, Windows and Mac OS X versions also available.

webERP is a complete web based accounting/ERP system that requires only a web-browser and pdf reader to use. It is developed as an open-source application and is available as a free download to use. The feature set is continually expanding as new businesses and developers adopt it.

5. opentaps

opentaps is an enterprise-grade Java open source ERP and CRM system with integrated business intelligence, but without the high cost, inflexibility, and vendor lock-in of commercial ERP and CRM software. It is designed to bring together all parts of your organization, so that you can work together more effectively and make better business decisions.
